Explore Nature Science@Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens
Nature is our most precious teacher! To cultivate children's observation, concentration, expression and other multiple intelligences in an interesting and life-like way, why not consider taking your children closer to the animals and plants in nature to see what they can learn from them? Even if we live in the city, we still strive to find space for children and adults to get in touch with nature. Through the guidance and inspiration of our nature mentors, let our next generation fall in love with nature, love to understand and protect nature.
At the Zoo and Botanical Gardens, we see, hear, smell and feel a variety of animals and plants. Nature mentors take children on a tour and observation, helping them learn about their species, characteristics, evolution, wild ecology and other knowledge. Children will find that the pictures and content they see in books can actually be put into practical use. It turns out that real animals and plants can tell us more. Careful observation reveals that birds are very busy on weekdays. In addition to chirping, they also play, bathe, build nests, find friends, look for food... Even bathing has many ways! Birds live in the same city as us. How do we adapt and how do they adapt? The children who travel with us love to ask questions and learn to express themselves. Our nature mentors will guide everyone's thinking and give children the motivation to discover more.

In addition to the "Explore Nature Science @ Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens" activity suitable for children aged 5-8, nature play will select different locations and themes according to different seasons, bringing children of all ages to visit wild/park animals and plants. Winter is the season when migratory birds fly from the cold north to Hong Kong to escape the cold. Our "Finding Migratory Birds Game" takes you to explore the ecology of migratory birds. Summer is the peak breeding season for fireflies. Our "Firefly Hunt at Night" activity takes everyone up the mountain to learn about the ecology of fireflies. We would like to thank the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society for providing scientific information for the Nature Decoding Game @ Kowloon Park, which allows children aged 2-6 and their parents to explore and learn about nature in an interesting way.
