Park Games - Explore the Possibilities
Natural Play believes that parks are an ideal place for children to learn. In 2014, we visited parks, collected information, and carefully studied how to play games with children and parents in parks. We visit different parks across Hong Kong every month, bringing designed games, stories, science and art and other activity themes, so that children and parents can have fun and have fun together. In 2015, the community began to find our park games interesting and fresh, and we were even interviewed by the Hong Kong Economic Times about our park games.
Nature games originated in the UK. Asian regions/countries such as Taiwan have also begun to rise in recent years. The game uses natural elements such as wind, sand, water, fire, earth, wood, etc. There are no specific ways or rules for playing nature games in nature play. Children are encouraged to explore on their own initiative with the guidance of instructors. The free and independent exploration process will cultivate children's enthusiasm for active learning, understand the wonders of nature from the heart, and develop unlimited imagination and creativity.
We will tell stories to the children during every park game, and the classic stories we choose are all from a series that will make the children and parents think deeply about them when they go home. By combining stories with innovative and diverse theme activities, children will not only be exposed to books, texts and pictures that are flipped through page after page in the classroom, but will also learn by using different senses, body memory, feelings, and other methods that use both the left and right brain and cerebrum together, and the experience will always be more profound. Many children and parents find our leadership approach new and inspiring. We encourage children to have their own say and parents to let their children explore freely based on their interests.

Our games are designed based on factors such as season, weather, age, environment, etc. The children’s dedicated play and sincere and bright laughter are our greatest reward. Since going to the park to play is expensive, in order to allow more families to afford to participate, many caring and capable community parents also volunteer to tell stories and prepare games for their children. We are sincerely grateful to the parents in the community who have volunteered!
