Science Experiment Games

Science is an integral part of human civilization. The smartphone in your hand, the transportation you use every day, and even the skincare products your baby uses are all products of science. Many people may find science daunting, with a multitude of complex compounds undergoing unknown reactions in test tubes, making it seem impossible to get started. However, this isn't the case.

In recent years, the Hong Kong government has strongly supported STEM education to enhance the competitiveness of future leaders. Through the " Nature Play - STEAM Lab ," we aim to design simple and engaging science games for children aged 5-10 . These games incorporate STEAM elements: S - Science; T - Technology; E - Engineering; A - Art; and M - Mathematics. These science games aim to foster an interest in science and develop independent learning habits, inspiring scientific thinking and connecting it to children's daily lives, paving the way for future learning. Nature Play doesn't encourage the teaching of complex subject matter or the memorization of vocabulary. Instead, it encourages children to actively explore the connections between everyday objects and science, hone their observation skills, and create small toys using scientific principles. This connects science to everyday life, allowing them to gradually learn scientific and logical thinking.

The uniqueness of the scientific spirit lies in its tolerance for failure. Every failure is a factor in increasing the success rate of the next experiment; the key is to try. Messy Science, a nature play game, doesn't provide step-by-step instructions on how to conduct experiments. Instead, we encourage children to use their imagination, learn from their failures, and collaboratively explore ways to do better. Through collaboration and mutual learning, children may even discover unexpected scientific discoveries.
