Messy Play – Break through the framework and explore creation

Messy Play creates a sensory exploration and artistic creation experience space for children aged 1 to 8 years old. Children can explore a variety of materials independently in a safe environment, rediscover new ways to play, and then combine them into new works. We firmly believe that children's design thinking and creativity can be improved through our inspiration and cultivation. The whole experience process emphasizes letting children explore freely and actively, which is a curious and interesting learning process for children.

Sensory development is an important key in a child's growth and development, which involves the exploration and development of vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Children learn through their senses, by storing perceptions in their memory. If children's sensory perception is properly inspired and stimulated during their early childhood, it can help enhance their curiosity and sensitivity towards the surrounding environment and things, laying a good foundation for their future learning motivation and ability.

Messy Play stimulates children’s vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch, proprioception and vestibular sense through parent-child game experience, so as to strengthen children’s motivation to actively participate and explore the environment. We design the natural environment indoors, using elements such as sand, water, leaves, branches, colors, colored dough, music, singing and other elements to allow children to explore nature in a safe and comfortable environment. While enjoying group life with parents and children, they can also gain inspiration in many aspects during play, helping their children grow and develop.
Since 2015, Nature Play has held several Messy Play events every month. We have developed and designed a variety of new ways to play with different materials, some of which are even created by children. Every child will have different reactions during the contact process. Some are very curious and get involved quickly, while others need a longer observation time and slowly integrate. In any case, this exploration requires children to take risks, to approach or try things in ways they are not used to. Perhaps they will encounter situations that are not as good as they imagined, some may feel dirty and unhappy, some may not be used to touching new objects, and sometimes they may feel resistant. However, through the guidance of games, children can gradually enter their own exploration space.
