Experiment at home

Science is an integral part of human civilization. The mobile phones in our hands, the transportation we take every day, and the skin care products our babies use are all the fruits of science. Many people may find science difficult to understand, with a large number of complex compounds undergoing unknown reactions in test tubes, and it seems impossible to get started. But this is not the case.

In recent years, the Hong Kong government has strongly supported STEM education to enhance the competitiveness of future leaders. Through the " Nature Play- STEAM Laboratory ", we hope to design simple and interesting Messy Science games for children aged 5-10 , which include STEAM elements: S - Science; T - Technology; E - Engineering; A - Art; M - Mathematics. These science games are designed to cultivate their interest in science and independent learning habits, inspire scientific thinking , connect with children's lives, and pave the way for future learning. Nature play does not encourage the teaching of a large amount of difficult subject knowledge or require children to memorize knowledge words. Instead, it encourages children to actively explore the relationship between everyday things and science, exercise their observation skills, use scientific principles to make small gadgets by themselves, connect science with life, and learn scientific thinking and logical thinking in a step-by-step manner.

The uniqueness of the scientific spirit lies in its tolerance for failure. Every failure is a factor that increases the success rate of the next experiment. The key is to try. The Messy Science games in Nature Play will not teach children how to conduct experiments step by step. We encourage children to use their imagination, learn from their failures, and think together about ways to do better. Children may also come up with unexpected scientific results through cooperation and mutual learning.
